So I finally got my motor done and did a test run 2 weeks ago. The boat was taking on a ton of water thru the transom plate. So I pulled it off and there was no oring. So I ordered the seal kit and put it all back together and now it's not pissing in water with just the boat floating in the water. Now the problem is if I go above 5000 rpm the boat is taking on a lot of water, but if I cruise at 3500-4000 rpm I see zero water coming in. Any help on this would be great!

Might be a ripped hose, hook up a garden hose to it and build up the pressure real slow while you or someone else watches for the leak. It sounds like when the pump builds enough pressure it shows its ugly face. :beer: Be careful most house hold water pressure is about 75psi, you only want about 20psi in your engine. Rory

Have someone drive while you find the leak... Make sure you hold on especially if you have headers so you don't get burnt.
It's probably a seal or perhaps some silicone that isn't sealing well. The force of water when you're going 5k is pretty intense.

Had a similar thing happen on my Saguaro, and the intake housing to the hull seal was cracked, I put 3" of water in the hull and found the leak real quick. pulled and reset intake, did shoe, rideplate and loader at the same time. I've seen a WJ intake missing 2 bolts, from the factory, NEVER drilled into the hull, leaking too.

Pardon my ignorance Crewchief, I am new to boats but why no water with out it running. I made the mistake of running my boat with a hose hooked up in the driveway before I found this site to tell me not to. I ran it way to long and I am sure I hurt the pump but can't tell. Sorry back to topic!
