If you have a Saw-Z-All I would cut it out before dumping. The intake in the condition it is in is worth about $100.

If you were to send some time and clean it up real nice and smooth out all the crap you could get up to $175 and if it was machined for a shoe & rideplate it would be worth up to $250.

Jim's prices are pretty close. I have one also. If you end up in having to ditch the hull and you decide you want to cut it out, cut 4 or 5 inches away from the intake, that way you'll have something to hit with a sledge hammer and it won't break up too bad while being hit. I read on a post where I think Jet Boat Performance used a jack on the intake while the boat was tied down to the trailer, but I could be wrong.

The jack trick works, but you have to have a way to hold the boat down & the trailer too. The way I did it was I ran some 4X6 across my stringers, then wedged a 2x6 between the truss in my garage and the 4x6 in the boat. Then I hit the intake with some light pressure from the jack. You dont want to tweak the bottom of the boat. LEave it for a few minutes, come back and give it another pump. Repeat the process until it pops. Mine came out leaving just the epoxy on the intake.

The jack trick works ,with some grunt swear words and a rose bud torch ;D ;D Tom
