What happened was last year I heart 2 Pistons.
The shop that usually works on my stuff was very very busy.
So a friend said I know someone he's a machine shop he can do it for you.
So I figured honing it out pistons and rings rebalance new bearings I'm done ready to go.
This guy took it on himself saying he didn't like my bearing clearances and he freaking change them so when I was at the river for the first time at the SoCal meet I had barely any oil pressure.

This guy didn't like that he open my bearings for the rods 3.4 to
And the main store 4.4 I had no oil pressure that was way too loose.
As well.
Brand new motor my rings didn't see. I don't know what he did I have 25% leak down on every cylinder.
So I'm very upset I pulled my motor out and that's where we have it he's going to put the bearings back to the main 3.2 the rods 3.0 and new rings.

That's a lot of leakdown in every cylinder. Ideally you want less then 3%. Consult the piston manufacturer and let them know this is for marine use, the piston to wall clearance is different for auto/marine use. Sounds like he was setting the engine up like an auto application. Ring end gap is also a huge factor as well and again is set up entirely different for marine application. Is this a fresh water cooling application or raw water? I'm guessing you are running lake water thru the engine.
