What white epoxy is used to seal the intake to the hull??

Don't quote me but, I believe the common one is Epoxy Putty.

make sure you use the heavy duty putty, the standard stuff is too thin. here is a link.

I've  always been told its called seagoing epoxy, never seen it in a tube thou.
