Title: what pump?
Post by: 88CARRERA on June 14, 2011, 06:35:13 AM
So i picked up this complete pump yesterday for 100 bucks, what inpeller do i have?

also what am i looking at to freshen this thing up. can i rebuild it myself or do i send it to tom?

the impeller has a tiny chip out of one blade but its like the size of a pen tip, will this effect anything? also the bowl has taken a rock in its day. the bowl fins are pretty f'd up is this a worry?
have a 500hp ford gonna put in the carrera 20' eclipse think it will run good? what kind of numbers?

Thanks
chris

Well...It used to be a stainless A, but it is really hard to tell from A picture, gonna say it's an A, but really not sure...Is the impeller you have there stainless steel (just tap it with a screwdriver handle, stainless one ring like a bell)...

If the bowl is dicked up, that is where you will have issues. The impeller nick, not so much...
