Any one have or heard of these?  If so, which one and how do you like it? MPH numbers if you have them please.

Thanks

There made by Jim at Perrformance boats in Sebastopol , some people 'swear" by them honestly not sure a "top loader" would be a good choice for your boat ,just my 02 Tom

Thanks Tom, I will be getting with you about a Diverter here in the future, just got to make up my mind on man vs hyd.

As far as comparing them to other loaders I honestly can't do that. However I do run a White Lightning loader and over a rock grate I did pick up about 5mph as well as a tremendous amount of pull in the midrange. It will load your pump harder so you may lose a couple hundred RPM, but IMHO they're well worth it.

With a 500hp 454, American Turbine AB impeller, Agressor droop and White Lightning top loader, in an 18' Tahiti style boat my top speed was 79mph @ 5400RPM with no shoe or ride plate.

John that some good mph for that hull did you have some work done to the bottom of the Tahiti style boat ? Just got me thinking :banghead: I'm running a little more HP 18' Eliminator hull Agressor pump and i don't run that kind of mph.

Probably cuz your motor is just starting to make power at 5k.
Honestly, I'd get the same or similar set up that was on there before Brian.

I would like to try one of these loaders on the Hondo, I have a super sport now and it seems like the ass is still stuck to the water... needs to be lifted a little more  ??? These are a blocker style loader correct? I'm running an A impeller right now, goin to turn it down to a B.... I've also "heard" that these loaders let a little more cavitation increase and allows the motor to turn a bit more RPM compared to a normal loader like a super sport.... any opinions?

18' Hondo T-Deck Pantera
550hp BBC
A/T Droop, A impeller
Supersport loader
Shoe and rideplate
NOT set back pump
Have tried up and down 2* wedge....
No Hook, rounded keel

Anyone with a similar set up on this style boat?

Did you ever run it in any heats?
What was the intended goal with the new loader?
Maybe all them years away from circle racing left him a little rusty  ???  ;D

yep thats how i know i gained nothing. the goal was more speed and to still stick in the turns. im sure if i wanted only speed he would have set me up with another loader. its a nice piece and with some tuning i could probably pick some mph up. i was due for a new loader any way.
old loader

new loader

you can see the difference in the two, so i expected to gain something :-\ it just goes to show how different two pieces can be and still achieve the same result. once again with some tuning i'm sure i would gain something

No one Jet drive intake loader is a "panacea" (end all be all) One boat ,one impeller, one jet and one combination different uses and applications may like one type of loader better than another  No two boats and setups are neccesarily exactly alike. There are only base lines IMO and to some degree "experimentation" will be neccesary to find what works .The most critical thing is that the loader doesnt "impede" performance and that its  "trimmed/tuned" & correctly "secured" to the boat and  , the hull and the "shoe" Not all boats even need a loader just my H/O/P   ;) Tom

regarding  your take off "Pulling" issues ,if its on accel it probably relates to nozzle/steering "dragging hardware" is it an Aggressor diverter ? they tend to do that , pull on hard or sudden decel is an "underwater hardware" concerns ,the first is annoying the second is dangerous ! :banghead:

All that said heres our new loader offering  ;)

Is yours an Open or Does it have a blocker in it?  I came up on one that is a Half Blocker.  The boat picked up about 4 MPH.  It does cavitate a little bit out of the hole though.
