Title: Anyone going out this week ?

Anyone going out to havasu springs this weekend and throughout the week ? just got a 73 kona 18ft with an olds 455. motor sounds real crisp. just wondering if theres anything these motors are notorious for ? any info would be great

455 olds dont like high rpms for long spirts oil dosnt get back to pan as fast as it should and can starve pump causing mains to fry
oh yeah I have some parts new and used In Havasu      have fun enjoy    Harry  :thumbup:

what kind of parts do you have ? i have an edelbrock 1403 carb on it thats new but on cold start up it does not pump fuel into the carb to start. anything on that ?

I have a duel carb tunnel 250. but any how are you running electric pump or manuel
some guys install a electric pump just to prime

its not electric. i thought it was but yesterday went to start and it wouldnt turn over so i had to put some gas down the carb to get it going. its also got a choke but no hook up for a cable

if you put a electric pump in line with a switch just to prime and run off the other pump
