anchoring out

i know this is a dumb question... but....

when you anchor your boat, with the nose out,.... how do u do it... like do you put the anchor in the water first then turn your boat around.... or do u do the line on shore first???

Pick up an Anchor Buddy and attach it between the anchor and the tie point of the boat parallel with the anchor line. Drop the anchor from the side of the boat where you think it is far enough out to keep the line angle cool, then pull the boat to shore, hop out and "ram your stake"  >:D... spin the boat to access the front, pull the anchor line to stretch the bungee in the anchors away, tie it to the bow eye and let it go, the tie the shore line rope to the rear of the boat and let it lead out until you chit don't touch....

The only time this method does not work is when you are on a fast moving river, that normally calls for a stupid long anchor rope and a river anchor, I have heard good things about box anchors, but truthfully have never used one....

and of course do not FORGET to pull it out when you plan on leaving. I have seen many people forgot and drive off.
