Just remember to set your alarm clock for early so you can get up past Pirates before the big boats come out and play. Head back at sunset and you'll be OK!

Most boats on Havasu are twice ur size. I have an 18’ also and wouldn’t dare it. I like the lower river much better.

We just went to Havasu for desert storm weekend. I have a 19 foot Hawaiian flat bottom jet. We stayed at the AVI and traveled the river back-and-forth to Havasu city through the weekend. The river is great in the mornings before the big boats come out and play. Once the big boats are out I recommend parking it in the sandbar until they’re all done. The trip from the AVI to London bridge took me approximately 2 hours with the two 5 mile an hour zone’s. Lake Havasu was very choppy in mid afternoon. so the thought of a sunset run is a good plan. You’ll be OK, but you may have to go slower than you want at times

Be very careful. The guys with the the big boats think it’s a game to sink the smaller boats. Had two come by us when I was in my buddies boat. Had another friend having issues first time out with his and his went under. Just be aware. If the winds pick up you can get some good white caps out there too. Otherwise very early out and sunset coming in.

The big boats are of the attitude that they own the river and the lake . It’s become a pain in my opinion . They haul right by you with out any consideration for anyone else . I get nervous and I’m in an advantage 21ft I’m not a fan of az fish and game , but I do a little happy dance when one of those big boats is getting popped for being an idiot on the water
