I made some simple changes to boat this off season, used Demon 750 carb,Victor intake, and I'm going with an HEI instead of dual points. How do you guys test out the boats without fear it stalls in the middle of lake/river and you just float away?  Or is there a spot with no current? Im still newish to boats but not these engines.
And oddly enough its harder to meet people up here in Kingman AZ than I expected-cuz there isn't anybody into these boats up here except for one guy.

Tune it at the launch ramp, on the trailer. Bullhead Comm Park is kinda shallow and murky, Riverside casino is deeper and good clear water. Just do it on an 'off' day, like tomorrow Then theres always Lake Mohave.

I also static time every motor I've ever built, or replaced or removed the dizzy. Set your balancer on 10* (or your initial timing), set dizzy to fire at that point.
