Looking to get something together for Fathers Day weekend at Echo Bay Marina. They've got great beaches that are close to the marina, great bar, restraunt, hotel, etc. If enough people want to come out for the weekend I'm sure we could get deals on hotel rooms, and stuff like that. Great water, good launch ramp, plenty of parking, and RV parks.
I run a 19 Daytona out there all day long.

People are already talking about fathers day on the lake, Temple bar has been mentioned. I've just recently went out and checked Echo Bay, looks cool. I'm down for either spot. We'll be on the lake anyway, I live just a few miles from the gate to the lake. I'd say move it closer to town for access to all the resturants, bars, hotels n shit. I dont need all that but some might. Also take into consideration getting accross the dam on a weekend, I've seen traffic backed up to Boulder City.

Echo has all that stuff, and no wait on the launch ramp, plus no traffic from the dam. & With enough people we can get deals on hotels, and house boats as water cabins.

Nope, there's still a ramp, they extended it and now its pretty good. I'll post some more pictures this weekend so you guys can get a better look at how things are out here... Its pretty damn nice right now.

OK folks, we need to figure out which place we want to attack. I'll be on the water either way. If we have seven going one place and seven going to the other I could drive my boat from one to the other. I've been to both places but not in the water, prolly will have been by fathersday. Temple bar is in March and we're trying to get Echo together for fathers day weekend. I'll be in T-Bar in March, and then hopefully some of you guys can make it up for Fathers Day weekend.

OK, So heard nothing on this whole gathering. Beerjet's planning a trip to Big River, I've heard nothing more on the Echo Bay deal. Which is it, or both and then choose which one? Are we still on for this? I'm actually more inclined for this, at least I know Mead a lil. If I'm driving 5 or 6 hours, I want to be able to spend the time in the boat, not ashore. Nordie? Jeremy? I know Terry's in. Keith's boat seems to want to make a right turn at Parker, ;D.
Got my vacation scheduled, gonna make a week of it and might have my brother bring the "Big Blue Meany" (As my kids have named it) along as well. Ain't fast....well...yet, refraining from aiming the udder's old engine at it. >:D. (Kids are nervous about me putting any engine in a boat anymore. Can't blame them really)
Need to make reservations, where's it gonna be guys? I know Omar and crew are going to Big River, (Don't like the idea or carrying a big rock in the boat, just sounds like a BAD idea to me, else I'd be in) :screwy:

Lol just what I was talking about. But, Honestly, I have two of the triangle things (One on each boat now), Omar kinda frightnened me with the Big F'ing rock thing! Just want to know where everyone will be. Seeing varying opinions, and honestly, just want to boat that week, all week, dun matter where. I'm really with Terry and the Echo bay thing, but if that peters out, I'm open to options.
Trying to get my brother to take vacation then too, so someone can bring and drive the Blue Meaney, but, we'll see. He's not been in either boat yet. (I think he'd rethink life after a blast in Udder Nonsense, lol)

Ray, if'n you got a week off maybe you'd like to hit parker, havasu (topock/ needles) dont think lauphlin would be worth stopping at BUT I could be wrong, Mojave and mead. If it wasnt a holiday I would meet you at Havi. Shit if ya gotta week, hit 'em all! We dont have to go to Echo either, I'm 20 minutes from H2O.

Aiight, Terry (hdriderth) and I are confirmed on this. If we get no more support, then we're gonna simply stay at Terry's and have a few days and launch near him. We're going on Mead, either way.
If we do get support, we're in for another Motel dealio and a few days from Echo bay. (Who came up with this anyway and why am I left to selling it?) I'll call and see what I can negotiate for rates if we have some interest (I can get the Corporate discount rate at least if need be). Terry and I , or at least I, are talking all week, from Wed to Wed., lol
I'm bringing both my boats. Terry's bringing the Blown Flatty, I'm sure I can easily get Josh into compliance, anyone else?

Just put in for some vacation time in July. Gonna go out to Parker starting either Sunday or Monday following the 4th and stay for the week ;D

The ramp is still good, I launched yesterday with no problems. They are doing some stuff with NPS to extend it but I'm sure that will be done by the end of the month.

from what i hear they are subbing out for new ramp construction on all the ramps...this is why i think the lake didnt go up any this winter and why it is down...i think this is the method to madness...i think...im still planning on going but i might stay at my casa i dont know really

that saturday of the parker trip last year where it was a zoo on the strip, we put our boats on the trailer and went on the other side of the damn....i saw 4 other boats the rest of the day. it was glasssssss.

Ya know, after looking at those Parker pics and the one COORS HEAVY posted I'm really kind of spoiled. I mean I go into a cove and I dont even bring an anchor, I just push the boat off once inna while and it comes back eventually. Would like to see some of the fellas, kinda flippy floppy right now.

compairing the parker strip to BR is like compairing apples and oranges. i know what you do and dont like terry....and i think you wont mind BR.
the only thing that is a bitch is the current....its pretty strong and the water is movin pretty quick....so anchoring and launching/retrieving sucks. other then that, theres no crowds, no huge boats, no wake barges, etc....
