I was pulled over yesterday in the narrows while pulling my niece on a tube. The reason I was pulled over was not the obvious out of date registration sticker though. My sister-in-law was sitting on the sun-deck working the rop and flag (watching to make sure her daughter stayed safe). Anytime the kids are behind the boat we tend to have an adult there in the ready to jump right in and help them. This warrants a $400 fine in the state of Nevada. I got a warning, luckily for me the officer was a decent guy.

Also, when you are driving a friend or family members boat (or even your own) you might want to take the time to inspect your fire extinguishers to insure that they are still good. No we didn't have a fire Sunday but thank god because we had three bad extinguishers on the boat. Oh and I did receive a ticket for this one. $87

Open headers on Lake Mead. ILLEGAL!!! You must have baffles! However the warden I had the pleasure of spending so much time with did inform me the he would never pull over or ticket a safe boater for something as ridiculous as noise pollution but some wardens might.

the riding on the sundeck is a big no no in many places...especially in the london bridge channel in havasu. i think the rule is your feet must be on the floor or your butt in a seat.

i remember riding on the bow as a kid dangling my feet in the water as we would pass through the channel. if we did that today, my dad would probably be thrown in jail for child endangerment. 

Times have sure changed. I feel bad for young kids now a days. You can't drive around residential streets in the back of a pick up ! That was the best times growing up in the 70's. Smokey burnout shows up and down the street in front of the house, neighbors didn't care. Sad.

I ran out of gas a few weeks ago, literally less than 100 feet from the dock. So me and a buddy were rowing and this a hole comes up and says, hey let me see your life jackets. I was like  -WTF, I got this fn 23 foot boat moving in the right direction and I got to dig out vests 100 feet from the dock ? After that I had to hold up my fire extiguishers !. A hole, how about a tow in dick head ! I swear man ... but if you give them a piece of your mind they will remeber you and your boat till you die.
