So a couple of us decided it was time to start the lake mead seaon off, and my g/f's birthday...Hey that's what she wanted! still working on uploading pics because of course i went with the videos first...The numbers arent quite what i expected, but im not dissapointed! especially for the type of hull im running...if brad wants to chime in he can!
Brad is driving my boat, because i wanted to see what he thought!

About Nordies boat.....The motor feels good but the boat feels a bit sketchy at speed so i wasnt airing it out too much and standing on it for too long. He's got a plan to fix it in the works ;)
perfect day on the water. couldnt have been any better. lets go again this weekend
-
Looks like a blast. The boats lookin sharp  What motor combo you got in that thing?
-
Looks and sounds great Nordie

Nordie,
Is there a thread about your motor? Or can you share your numbers here in this thread?
-
There is a thread on that motor! I have no clue on the hp, and i never actually got a good look at the tach, but i believe it was about 57, 5800 rpm, the hull just doesnt seem to handle it well, and it is a very heavy lay up! That is why i am very happy with the numbers we seen this weekend! No rideplate, shoe any of that mumbo jumbo, boat does have a mini droop with 4 degrees of wedge, and a b-cut impeller! Motor is 70 over 454 4 bolt main with heavily ported 990 heads, cam is just above 600 lift, and a solid flat tappet, roller rockers yada yada ya...1050 dominator carb, and 10.3-1 compression! i would probably say when the motor is properly tuned, and im slowly working on it, that it will make north of 500

I'll just leave it at this...as of right now that boat would fit into the n/j class pretty well!
-
Sounded pretty good in your vid. So if you don't mind my asking if you were around 57-5800 rpm then what was your speed?
