We always launch out of Lake Mead Marina, or Temple Bar. But Temple is a little far for you, plus it's a total dump never go there! *evil grin* Pretty much any where at mead is cool, just say close to the Marina or bring some stuff to be able to stay in a cove if you have too (for the just in case factor). This time of year, not too busy but it is a little more windy. There are a few guys that live in LV that I'm sure will chime in with more info.

mead at this time of the year is great! If your staying in henderson I would use boulder harbor...for the lake mead visitor I would turn left out of boulder harbor and head towards sandy...its about a 15 minute boat ride from boulder harbor...that the hangout for most boaters on lake mead...you can always check out the dam too, but that is off to the right from boulder harbor...for the record to get into mead your gonna need a 20 dollar bill...10 bucks for your truck and same for your boat...the pass you will be buying is good for 10 days so you only gotta buy it once

Awsome,is sandy a sand BAr or a place to set up a easy up?And is it Beachable for the boat?And is there a sign that says sandy or will i know when i get there

AwSome trip out here,BOAT Ran Bitchen ,Weather was bitchen didnt warm up enough till about 12 though,but The water was glass all 3 days ,,,Great first trip for me,Checked out the dam,couldnt find the sandy beach though,,i went both ways out of the marinia,but i found sound good spots directley out boulder marinia,Also boulder marina was very shallow,,all the v drives and out drives couldnt launch there,,they had a spot on the mud hole to dip there boats into ,so i had no problem but you get all your truck in the water to get the boat off.They say by next summer the lake will rise 55ft..o we'll see next year..GREAT TRIP THOUGH ALL IN ALL>
