Title: Big River anyone. (6/2-6/3) (WRAP-UP)
Post by: beerjet on June 04, 2007, 08:19:19 PM
Well , we decided to leave at 5 or so in the morning and no FOCKIN sooner that we get 2-3 miles away from home this sh!t happens.

As I watch the tire pop out and begin to run into oncoming traffic I notice that it's headed for a curb , so I thinkin "cool , it'll just bounce into an empty parkin lot " WRONG ! It bounced off the curb and started back towards the tahoe and as soon as I lose sight of it I hear this big ol' "POW!" There's that runaway tire , great. It bounces off the tahoe and back to the curb and then back across the street into an empty parking lot.

So I pull into the empty lot to asses the damage .

Like I said , I was only a couple miles from my house luckily so I dragged the pile back home and dumped it off in the driveway. So i licked my wounds and headed off anyways with my buddy and his boat to finish or start off the weekend . To tell you the truth , I kInd of felt like a pussy for not being able to fix it like AQUAHOLIC .

Anyways we got there and I began to drink like a maniac . Didnt really take any pictures as my picture taking hand has buisy holding my beer . This was the walk out the back door of our room .The room is really high up on a bluff .

From what I saw the water was coming up real early and launching at 9-10 was possible . The water was completely undesturbed until 10 or so .

I did get to see this TT circle boat . Anyone know this guy before I begin to spout off about how much I disliked him ?

There was also this sexy sanger . I was talking with one of the guys and he was telling me that sanger only made a handfull of these and began to discribe HDriders hull.

Niether one of these two guys really made a hard pass. I dont know what there deal was , but everything about the douche in the TT rubbed my the wrong way . I guess thats what happens when you open your mouth before you realize who your talkin to .I got a little vid too.

Heres the one of the sanger .

When you guys go to big river is there any wake board boats? My local spot is now full of them and they make it kind of hard to cruise around in a 18 foot boat.

Not to turn this into a walkboard discussion, but I fear the waters are going to be overcome by these guys. Wakeboarding and wake skateing (wakeboard with no bindings) is a growing sport and these companys are spitting these boats out by the 100's and making them more and more affordable.

Huge waves caused by these boats sandbagging is just another thing to kill the desire to bring anyone into wanting to own a jetboat.

I really appreciate the offer mike . I had my buddy following me so we were ok as far as getting it back . I was more pissed about the dent in the tahoe .

There is a few of them but with the water moving at a pretty good rate , the water flattens out pretty fast .

For sure, their waves almost sank me a couple weeks ago.  Ended up forcing water into the engine, locking it up, and shearing the dist pin.  I cringe at the sight of one every time now.

I was pretty much hammered when I saw the boat on the trailer next to the bathrooms so I decided I was gonna go take a sh!t and when I got out I'll checked the boat out . First thing I noticed was that the ass end of it was all kinds of jambed into a bush .It's not like there a thousand bushes around the bathrooms . There is one big bush and he jambed the ass end of it into the bush . Anyways , I'm scoping it out and on top of the obvious fact to me that it was a circle boat , it has a small block ford with twin turbos . I thought , "well you dont see that everyday " . I begin to walk away when I see these two guys walking towards the boat and they see me and begin to loudly say some remarks which were unclear . I was certain they were indirectly talking to me . Just so people dont get the wrong impression I circle back to meet up with them at the boat and chat a bit . They wanted none of that so I just walked back to my canopy which was right next to theres .

The owner and another guy were shootin the sh!t so I go over there and try to strike a conversation . Douche just walks away as I asked a question and managed to spit out " There is only one other boat with a TT ford that I've seen , and the boat is actually a circle boat ." At this point he was half cocked towards me walking at least 20 feet away and just turned away after his last word . I thought to myself "THANK YOU MR. OBVIOUS!" Oh well. Then his buddy started to tell me about the sanger and that was appreciated since he was pretty much discribing HDriders sanger.

I get this same reaction almost everytime exclusively from v-drivers. Not saying your all like that . NO WAY ! But I have yet to be treated like a dumbshit beaner from a jet guy , which by the way is my dads job. The douche couldnt even tell me the maker of the hull. By the end of the weekend I wanted to choke him for desicrating a circle hull like that . DOUCHE FOCKIN BAG !

You know Omar, the fact you are trying to be friendly and strike a conversation up and yet get blown off, is exactly why society today is the way it is, what happen to saying hello and BS'ing? Jeeze i swear, I get the same thing from Harley owners when i am on my 1936 BMW R12, they shove their nose so far in the air I would swear its pointing north. Not i wont say all Harley owners are like this but more are.

We sure arent. Nice old school chopper...70's era. I'm Talkin about the ones with the brand new bikes and $1500 in brand new lether n shit from HD. Up in Oregon I heard the locals at the bar put Kawasaki stickers on this dudes bike and he couldnt find it in the parking lot! I think they should all be kick start only, keeps the pussies off 'em. Well one step further they should be built and tuned by the owner........thats OLD SCHOOL

Seeing that name Big River brings back memorie's. Back in the eightie's i went to high school in parker and i used to live in Big River. Do they still have that little bar/restaurant on the river?  We drank lots  of beer in the grass and used to jump our bicycles of the dock. Dont know how it is now but when i was a kid their wasnt that much to do for a teenager but party ;D And we did.
