how far is it down to Walters from the freeway by water? Headed out in a couple weeks and was thinking about making my way down there.

  32 miles a pretty good ways.  Only problem with Walters it's hard to float back up river when you have a problem.

The dirt road sucks too.

we had a trailer there when I was a kid, learned to drive on that dirt road lol, I remember in my dads Nordic we would cruise up by macintyre, maybe we'll just take a drive in the truck to Check it out👍🏼

  We have been talking about making a trip like that but we have the pontoon for support slash towing.  We were going to float most the way down.  I also put a tag line and tow my boat a lot of time.

I have made it from McIntyre to Walters and back. We did it in April but it was a long ride.

. True to a point if that was main purpose. We spend 50 percent of our time on the pontoon. We also use it when boat less friends show up.  Works as a fuel barge and NOS mothership. We enjoy both boat equally and if you have a boat that runs on race fuel you need something else.

The news this morning said Caltrans was hoping to be diverting eastbound onto one lane of the westbound by Friday, but I didn't catch from where to where if they said. That could cause a pretty big bottleneck for a while, and may or may not be better than the 62.

I will try to attach a file for you I have never tried it on this site before.

Way cool, either way I'd like to cruise down to Walters, truck, float, pontoon chase boat, either way, just for old times sake really, show my wife were it all started etc... Shit, the way it's lookin I just might be floatin a 19' Daytona next weekend... We shall see if it pans out though.

We did it a couple times last year and found out the float down is great but coming back up river sucks so we started dropping the truck and trailer at Fishers the day before and just driving back to Blythe after. Way more enjoyable.

So looks like the freeway will be open who's all going to be in Blythe I'm launching at the Rivera and stayen at the hotel right down the street forget the name
