A couple questions for those who know the answers....

-how far is the nearest grocery store to stock up on food and beer, etc
-if I go I'll our group will have 2 boats and a 5th wheel. Would we need more than one lot?
-when it comes to the lot you get, can you ask for a certain spot? It would be cool if all of us were next to each other.
-how quickly should I get on this? Im still trying to talk my buddies into it. One is on board for sure but I still havent gotten an answer from the buddy  with the 5th wheel

Thanks

I know there is an Albertsons‎ off of the 10 just before you get off for McIntyre Park.  It's probably about 8 miles from the park.

If it was just me, I'd be tenting with Brad!..........Wait, that didn't sound good........ :sly:

As it is, the Motel 6 is prolly best with me and the kids! SOOO anyone needs beer or groceries, call me, I gotta drive in 2 miles each day anyway!

Juries out on whether I'm bringing Pickle or Moo.

I say rock the moo! If I go I'll be there with my peeps Wednesday so we're gonna have to reload on food and beer. The little store on the grounds is just for basic stuff right? They have ice Im assuming. Im hoping to not make multiple trips into town. My buddies can drink a $hit ton of beer though so we'll see! Im really looking forward to going to this meet so Im hoping things work out, I just have to keep my fingers crossed that my motor is done in time! This would be my first meet with SCJB family :)

Ask a local about the ice house.  Automated so you hardly have to get out of your car.  They used to have BIG blocks that you can bust up to fit.  Waaay cheaper and lasts longer in the heat.

Nice. Is that at the park or in town?

A block off the main drag running east/west thru town (Lovekin? can't remember) not far from where the RR tracks cross.

Albertson's is 8 Miles in town. Store on site has VERY FEW items.

If you get the fifth wheel to go, you will only need that one spot. You can park your two boats and trucks right around there somewhere close to the hookups where the fifth wheel will be. If that doesn't work for you, there is an open field that USUALLY has room to park boats and trucks.

You could probably ask for a certain spot but, not necessary IMO. There are only a few and they are all in the same general area. This kinda leads to your last question. You should do it as soon as you can find out if your fifth wheel buddy is coming. Not to say it is always full but, it is summertime and lot's of people camp there. I've only seen it no shit full on big weekends but, you never know.

Anything else you want to know just ask. If I don't know the answer I can find out.
