Title: Mayflower Vs everywhere else in blythe
Post by: Rodbender on May 27, 2008, 11:11:53 AM
I am a new memeber but a long time squirt fan. I live about an hour and a half away from Blythe and i make frequent day trips just to get wet. I usually go to Mayflower, and i really like it there, but is there a better place to go in the blythe area? i tried McIntyre about 6 years back but i almost had to pop a cap in a jet skier for a near miss with my younger son. It would be great to find a different place to roost.

Whats your opinion?

McIntyre is where my boat lives. i love it there. lots of grass. the weekend people take up a lot of the park on the weekends due to the grass anyone with a tent loves it there. but then it is nice so that when i have friends over to my trialer i can just throw them in a tent..haha..

but i love it there you should give it another chance. i will be there  june 13th if you want to meet up that weekend.

i will put it on my calander, it may be a good day trip. i am going to Topock at the end of june so i am limiting my trips. How far of a trip is it from McIntyre to mayflower? Is it boatable, or would I be asking for trouble to try that trip? I have never been down that way so i dont know.

I am over on the AZ side of the river in the Colorado river Oasis park.  It's awesome over there.  It's just north of the I-10.

McIntyre is where I always launch from when go to the lower river.  Had a friend that had a spot there and have been going ever since.  Could not imagine going anywhere else.
