I was talking to my friends dad about old times at the river and he brought up Red Rooster. Is that place still there is it cool? My parents said they went there back in the day before going to Water Wheel.

Red Rooster was a very cool RV/Mobilhome part north of Blythe. Best friend had a place 2 miles north. Great stretch of the river, local call outs/races every evening...herd they leveled the place(Indian land).

I don't know much about the red rooster here in vegas other than its actually at a house. Another one is called the green door. Its more of an actual club....and there is just old fat men lurking around with their dicks out.

Red Rooster was one of the first places that the Indians flexed there muscles by giving the residents a 48hr deadline to get out, then they bulldozed the whole place. It's been quite a few years since that happened.

When I was about 16 we were driving back to camp near WW and we come up on a girl walking down the road a few miles from the Rooster. We stop and ask her if she needs a ride and she tells us that she had gotten into a fight with her boyfriend. He had left her on the side of the road and supposedly driven off several hours before she started walking.
She stayed and partied with our group for the rest of the weekend and we dropped her off at the bus station in Blythe Monday morning. You gotta love the 70's. :thumbup:

UMM... Actually The Indians didn't really flex their muscles. The Guy that had the Lease at Red Rooster was collecting money from the people that had spaces in the park. He had their money and wasn't paying the Indians for the park lease so. the Indians came in and took over(with the law behind them). There are still a few places in Red Rooster, but nothing like before(all private). Too bad. We used to camp at Red Rooster. When it went down, we moved down to McIntyre Park for 10 years or so.

Didn't he dig trenches and other crazy stuff to deny access from the highway towards the end? He didn't really go away easy if I remember correctly.
