I heard that if you take a jet ski or wave runner there that you wake up in the morning with holes drilled into the bottom of your water toy! That's an angry mo fo there. ;)

Not me ! Low river is a great place for jet skiers . By the way , both of my boats shoot a gnarly roost that will send you all the way down to blythe . So feel free to gather up all your jet ski buddies , I need the target practice . >:D >:D >:D
I'm declareing it open season on jet skiers , at least the assh0les !

Please excuse the kinda sorta thread jack in progress here but . . . me and the family want head out in a few days. I have left 3 diff messages w/ Big River Inn answering machine and can't get a call back. Is there a secret password of something? Maybe we'll just stay in Blythe. Oh well thanks for listening to my rant.

I had to keep trying as well BUT honestly when he finally got back too me he was full. Just stay in parker at the Best Western, its nicer and only $15 more.

That's why the lower river is good; can't eliminate the 'lake lice' but the shallow water reduces the number of wake board boats from messing with my skiing water (they should be on the lake, not the river).
The shallow also keeps the dual outboards away >:D

I couldn't believe that they would have every day thru the entire summer b ooked but that was the conclusion that I arrived at when I couldn't get them to answer the phone even back at the beginning of June. We stayed there a few times 8-10 years ago and liked it but it seems as tho the place is not so secret anymore. Does anyone know if I can use the beach and ramp if I'm staying in Parker?

The place next door is called the dock and is open to the public.

I considered waaay down south, but I only have one working gas tank on my boat right now and so I wanted to go somewhere more familiar. I've been going to various places between Blythe and Parker for 40 years and know that section of river pretty well. Plus Mapquest says that Martinez is quite a bit further a way. What is the lodging and gas situation down there? Any info is greatly appreciated.

You can call and rent bungalows , trailers , party houses and so on Gas is cheap in Yuma and there is always the dock. I believe the dock was $4 a gallon last time I went. There is two bars and two stores and two resturants , and the bungalows are in the bar parking lot!

Gas, $3.40 a gallon on 7/7/2007, on the water/dock. $4.40 a gallon on the water/dock at Walter's Camp waaayyyyy up river... ;)
