Title: wants to check out blythe
Post by: JTMoney on July 27, 2011, 04:43:47 PM
I generally go to big river or Laughlin but I wanted to try Blythe.  I have a flatty so water level isn't a big deal.  I mainly want to know where to stay and where the hang out spots are.  I need a place to stay that is dog friendly.  We are a young family looking for some people to boat with.  I'm 26 and my wife us pregnant. I drink but not out of hand.  Well not intentionally at least.  If anyone has any info orr is organizing a trip I wouldn't mind being invited.

Several of the guys stay at McIntyre Park (About 6 miles south of I10) but you would need an RV or trailer.  In the past I've stayed at the Best Western in Blythe and launched at McIntyre.

I've also launched at the "day use" ramp just north of I10.

Welcome to SCJB  ;D

Be sure to post some pics of the flatty

I'm not sure if this worked.  How do I post pics on my profile?  For being young I'm not very computer savvy.  Is there somewhere else I should post pics.

Welcome to the madness here.  McIntyre south of town about 10 minutes or Mayflower 10 mins. north of town are available for tent or RV camping.  Both are nice but Mayflower especially gets full of jet skis.  Lots of motels in town but you still have to go somewhere to launch.  In general though, Blythe is much less busy than Parker.
Now lose the Bud Lite, stock up on the CL and come floating with us in August at Big River if you think your liver can take it.

Haha the bud light is just a bag full of CL's.  It holds a 30 pack and some ice and is perfect for boozin at the cove by the dam on Big River.  What are the dates for the August trip or where do I get info.

We stay at Americas Best Value (dog friendly) and launch out of McIntyre.

were heading out there this weekend, were staying in a park model at the riveria, but other friends are staying at the best value inn in town, nice parking lot for boats, you can launch at the riveria or mcIntire, we usually go south of the 10 down river aprox 5 miles, just past goose flats. there is a island on the az side. maybe well see you out there.  bobby
