october 8th 9th and 10th is the weekend.every year it seems to br the second weekend of oct due to the race schedule.if you havent gone i suggest going.third year in a row for me ;D

for you just take the 8 out to yuma az and follow the signs to the 95 and you will be there usually from what im told its only a 2 to 2 1/2 hour drive from sd but could be off

You can launch at either and its been at the further up sandbar....just south of monkey island. Most jets and v's will anchor on the CA side. The passes have been made on the AZ side.

For $5 per person per night. You tent it , sleep in your truck or bring a RV.

this boat that i got is my first boat, bought it bout 6 months ago and had a few problems but nothing to ever make the love go away its a 78 charger 454 with a berk 12jg and some other stuff to, i payed 3500 and in my eyes well spent.looking forward to meeting some of you guys at the power tour.i named my boat "flick n boogers" if you see me feel free to chat im to to the society.

it always has shallow spots.its not your typical river where you drive up the middle hug the toolies and read the water and you will be fine.just given bri some chit and since he's never been i wanted to make sure my buddy isnt beached

id say 3 miles up river its a short drive. if you run south just be cool cause the imperial county popos look for any reason to pull you over i have an inspection card from them that i keep since they pull me over most of the time.i will call you on friday afternoon or morning if you want to hook up and check out more of the river than the power tour

Evergreens me I've been pulled over is just to check my saftey gear/want to see if I'm intoxicated enough for a bui but always get a warning for the carbon monoxide stickers even though I keep em with reg now.there cool if your coolwith them plus I think they pull me over tocheck out my chick and her friends asses

very true but everytime im out there even following my inlaws who live there bam i always get pulled over right at the toolies heading into clearlake ;D all good im used to it plus the last time it was the same 2 officers and just said eveything ok and sent me on my way. but when im cruisen the inlaws cruiser nadda happens.i guess its the old hot rod v/s mini van deal ;D

Ron,think about how many boats will be there and most of them will not be running wet headers or using spark arrestors (including myself) ;D

What was the Patrol like last year for the Yuma Power Tour weekend?
They didn't have much of a presence last year during the power tour. ICSO and YCSO are usually pretty cool and the ones who complain and the ones getting in trouble for doing stupid things.
I asked them about running dry headers, and they didn't worry about that much or running without baffles.
But, for not having a flame arrester, they will cite you for.
Make sure your fire extinguishers are full and have all the required safety equipment. I saw a guy pay over $200 for not having a throwable device. Most infractions are hefty fines on the water. I pulled my f.e. out the other day and it was empty. :-\

I figured putting you in the backseat, would've let you alittle sore for the weekend. I even had the AC full blast for ya. :D

Work for the county, its not too bad on this side of the woods. I'll being going state next year, but I probably won't be affected. The governator doesn't care much for the CO's and it shows. Getting paid good money to babysit prisoners isn't his ideal of saving the state money I suppose. O0

Was that you boost in Quartzsite at love's on friday. I know you don't know me but I reconized your boat from seeing it on the boards, if that was you. Was going to introduce myself but didn't know if that was you, just thought I reconized the boat. I was at work, we rolled by in a state truck, while you were filling up on gas. Anyways, nice boat.

hey, tom and i had blast! it was my first time attend to a jet boat event. gives me some good views for my future project! i am picking up a V drive from a friend to build. didnt get chance to met most of the crews but a few. im the deaf guy with an station wagon lol. big thanks to whoever helped me get my boat started and running sunday afternoon. before too late. the solerano died, the boat must have not wanted to go home and sit out of water.
