Title: New Little Toy Addictor Mini Boat
Post by: t8017e on July 05, 2012, 07:42:36 AM
Picked up a 1990 Addictor Mini Boat. :screwy: It's not a jet  but it's really not a real boat either. I got motor options I picked up a 18Hp or 40Hp. It's not really a debate I'm going 40Hp but might be to much for this little thing.
What do you guys think?

Its clean but im picturing a supercharged ski motor and a pump sticking out the rear end of that thing. You should do it so I don't have to.

Fat fingered from the phone- Corey

They used to have these for rent at Disney world in the late 70's and early eighties.  I would save my extra paper route money tips so I could rent one evry time we went

it seems that mini boats are making a comeback. I know of three friends here in ridgecrest that are building them right now. One just got out of paint. the other one is pretty much ready for a water test and mine is in the middle of hull modification to fit the jet ski drive train in it.

but these things should be fun as hell when they are all done

Boats done and ready for testing. Thinking of throwing it in marine stadium in Long Beach (salt water) for testing, its just an outboard. What do you guys think.

Rigging the steering was a pain in the ass and I'm still not sure reverse is going to work, I would rather test locally the drive an hour for disappointment.

thats the best part you could test that thing in a kiddie pool if you wanted to. lol

step one lay out inflatable pool
step 2 back trailer and boat onto deflated pool
step 3 inflate pool
step 4 fill with water and see what works. LOL

keep us posted. we need to have a mini boat meet one of these days.

I ran mine in salt water all the time. Just make sure you get those earmuff things to flush out the engine with fresh water. Also, spray some wd40 al over the engine under the case before you go out. You'll be fine.....

Is that an offer....... :screwy: LOL!       Not quite that low but I will make someone a great deal. I will sell it for what someone could get for the motor alone.
