Ok just picked this up. I need ideas and history about these things.
It runs the way it is with a modifed 440 jet ski motor in it.
If it is not scary enough i have a rotax 1300 in my shop. I need you guys to help me brainstorm possibilites for this thing.
Also thinking of taking the jet pump out and running half of a V drive set up. so that i can get the boat out of the water at speeds.
anyway lets hear some ideas and concerns.

what would you do if this was yours?
Do you know anything about the history of this little guy?

Other than that little hydro is badass Tony, got no info for you 8) Does it need painting or just cleaning ??? and why not just try it out the way it is ???

2 other questions, is that a joy stick for the steering, and the go pedal on the floor to the right ??? ???

I am going to run it as is to see what we got.
yes that is a joy stick and the go pedal is on the stick as well. kinda of like a trigger.
the paint was fadded but as you can see from the pics i did a quick polish to the tips of the sponsons and it brought back the shine pretty good so i will finish the rest of the boat.

Got her back together and shinned up. And after a few hours of trying to chase down wires and get everything hook up the right way. she is pretty much river ready

I wonder If that thing will spin out often, it does have 'forward' arrows...

Its supposed to do 50mph. i will bring my gps on sunday to see what she really does
its got huge skags on both sponsons. so i am not sure if it will spin out or not.
this thing was created to compete with jet skis so it kind of has to turn on a dime

anyone know if this little guy will fit into a race class. either boat or PWC

So the shake down run did not go as expected. The boat was severly lacking in power. i think we maxed it out at 26mph. so this easy project just turned into another complete build that will take up room in my garage. We are going to swap a 4 stroke 1300 seadoo motor and pump in it. That should do the trick.
