I wish all of the ground breaking old timers would get together and write a book on the history of the boats we love so much. I would love to see who had what hull first, how it came to be, who was involved, and where they were built. I would love to read about a chronological history of the boating scene here in California from the late 60's through the 90's with pictures. I would buy that book in a heartbeat if it existed.

I compiled a list once of just v-drive boat manufacturers. Over a 100 builders!! A book or should I say an "accurate" book of your description would be awesome, but it would be a HUGE undertaking.  A literal mountain of work and research. Nobody in there right mind would take the time, money and effort needed to write a book that would only sell a few thousand copies.... I would be first in line if it did happen though... 8)
