So I figured I'd throw it out there and see what happens.
I have a virtually brand new Hobart Ironman 230, 220v. Has about 30 minutes run-time on it, storage cover, 60cf bottle, 30lb roll of wire and some extra consumables. I'd like to keep it, but my garage has no 220 and i don't have any open slots in the panel to run a circuit.
Possible trade for hull/trailer?

The only reason I was asking the model number is because they make a spool gun model that is still a MIG machine but worth quite a bit more.
Obviously this is not a spoil gun machine. I guess I could have been a little more specific.
That's a nice welder.
I think this is the 500536 with a shielding gas kit?
I had an older 225 amp version that I sold to get my Miller Synchrowave.
Pretty durable machine.
Do you have the wheel kit?
What kind of hull/trailer are you in search of?

I'll have to get the exact model number and more exact specs. My Dad bought it about 6 months before he passed. I used it about 30 minutes to weld a tube bumper on his 5th wheel and it's sat since then.
As far as hull /trailer, not real sure. Just kinda tossed it out there

So I have a 30 amp breaker. Actually to 15 amp 110 run together. This machine will run at 60% duty cycle at 175 amp pulling 27.5 amps? Just trying g to see if I have enogh power in the garage for it? Anybody smarter than me want to help me understand?

Two 115 volt 15 amp breakers is the equivalent to one 15 amp 208 breaker.
Do you have an electric dryer?

If youve got two seperate 15a breakers, and youre not using thise circuits, you can pull both and put in a single 30a breaker and run your 220

I see that you are reading it differently than I am.
Ralph, how many poles do your breakers have?
Picture time big boy...

I have two 15 amp breakers tied together for my 220 compressor

So that would be like a 15 amp two pole breaker.
What is the rating on the panel and how many holes?
May need to call Justin.

Man its a bunch of hodgepodge stuff I. That breaker box

Runs this compressor

Runs this compressor
All things being equal, I think you are a little short on amps.

That's what I figured

Basically you have two 15a circuits feeding a 220 compressor. You should be able to put in a single 220 30a breaker which will give you what you need

That's what I figured
Gee whiz Ralph, I feel like I somehow let you down brother.
Look into the Miller Millermatic 180.
Awesome machine. Our shop just picked one up for field work.
Hope all is good.
