For some damnn reason I want that thing Will it cut thru plywood and things like that?

I used the bit that came with it to cut 1/2" MDF cabinets and cut through it great. They have other bits available at Lowes and Depot for a varity of materials tile, grout, doors, multipurpose, etc, etc
