Hey guys thinking about building a dolly trailer for upcoming year so my boat can go inside our trailer when we go to the races. Weighing my odds to start from scratch or modify existing. I really just only need a frame. But will buy complete. What does everyone have laying around??

I wanna do the same and pull it in my weekend warrior. I was thinking bout making a dual axle dolly deal that'd bolt onto my axles and I can pull my existing wheels and it'll fit in my trailer. I think it'll fit now but the tires will sit right at my fender wells. For me a separate dolly would be hard to change out from trip to trip. Starting scratch is a bit more work but I think it's worth it in the end probably spend almost the same by the time you do everything you want.

I am building a new one right now for a Cheyenne with Johnny Branch... Just my opinion, but start new and you will be money ahead, plus it will look a ton nicer. Steel is cheap, but the axles, fenders, wheels and tires, etc etc are what add up. None of the existing road trailer parts will work and you would have to completely dissect the road frame to work.....
Just my opinion but sell the road trailer and put it toward new parts.....
