Propellers are all about smooth, not necessarily sharp. The front surfaces of the blade should be as flatty add possible with the imperfect surfaces on the back.

Think of an airplanes wing.

You are probably closer to a 13 pitch if the boat planes well. That should be a through hub exhaust, so if it struggled to get on plane, you can always drill some vent holes to let it "slip" a little on launch of it had problems with the 13. A 13 pitch may also be slightly smaller in diameter. Like a 10.8.

Ok cool it got on plane fine and its thru hub exh ill measure the diameter today to measure diam i believe i should measure the radius to outside edge of fin and x2 to get diam is this correct?  Also the prop is stamped with 11 and online for factory props 11p standard equip but i jave no idea what im lookin at.

It revved  fast though im testing with a tach tomorrow to see what it turns but once on plane the rev to mph difference seemed  almost as though it would rev quick and not go much faster. Its a river/ cruiser boat so im not pulling any thing with  it like tubes or skiers so im mostly lookin for the most prop itll turn and still get on plane  managably.

I talked to the prop shop today. The only thing he has right now is a 50 hp Nissan prop that he said won't work on your shaft. He also ssid that thing should be able to pull a 13 with little drama.

Yep, need to drop it down over 1000RPM. My guy was right, it should pull a 13. I will try to whiz by there tomorrow afternoon. He owes me lunch anyway...

Sweet  thanks man. Are you going to the Bluewater  meet?

I really want to. My pop is waiting on some finalized paperwork on my grandmothers old house in Big River. If we get it handled before then with plenty of notice, then yes... It is a long drive, so I am not sure if I will be dragging a boat. I really want to get the Mouse powered Southwind down there... Maybe.
