You better run and hide After a question like that........ Stringer replacement isn't hard just time consuming if its a full stringer and 1/4 stringers are a breeze and I thought you had a motor for this hull?

No  almost just gotta paint an get a small battery for the electric motor and bag solenoids. I have a bbc402 with 4 point mounts I'm contemplating on getting rid of.

Oh I'm not great at fiberglass either but it really isn't that hard, just gotta get over it and do it. Aft least that's what I keep telling myself. As far as the motor I don't know what I want to do with it yet or what it's worth with the mounts. What parts did you rob from the small block? I still have a bunch of small/big block Chevy parts from my swap in my chevelle to the big block.

Ya i was just thinkin about it cuz it needs alot before itll be running and its for my dad so its not gonna be a rocket more of a cruiser and id rather not spend a fortune to take both boats out

The Outboard will not be cheap.  A new 200hp setup is in the $14K range.  200hp on a v-bottom can be expected to run about 60mph or so.  You'll still need to fill in the hole in the bottom/transom from the pump, get new steering, redo the seats (since now you'll have a big empty space at the back), new steering setup, jack plate ..etc. 

Leave is as a jet....find a good used motor for a couple grand, then have a shop do the floors/stringers.  You should be able to get it up and running for less than $3500.
