My brother was having the same problem for 2 years in a row. He had the carburetor rebuilt new fuel pump put in and still was doing the same thing. We finally discovered it was a bad starter. The solenoid was loose and moving around inside the starter.

**** park moabi it's not a place to enjoy anymore the cock sucker thinks money grows on trees and has extraordinary rates for every ******* thing you do .. That piece of shit has his bitches walk around and collect $5 if u park anywhere in the channel .. I grew up at that place back in the day when the dam park was under water.. Good ole days are gone.. shit u can't even tent camp on the peninsula anymore ..suck a dick pirate dick.. Topock Route 66 is gnna be da spot,,

Ya the owners a joke he don't give 2 shits about the middle class. He wants the guys with the big boats and big pockets to be there not us lil guys. Last year they were walking down the beach passing out flyers saying it was $20 a day to park on the beach but you could use that $20 at the bar, restaurant, or there little store. That idea didn't last long by the next weekend they were out again passing out flyers saying it was $5 to park on the beach.

I feel bad for the ones who own a trailer in the park. He said he was going to raise the space rent as high as he could to get them out of there. Fuckin bullshit i will never spend another dollar at that place again.

Park Moabi! Its the cheapest to rent spots on and you can leave it there hooked up.AC on,Frig on.They dont charge for hook ups just the spot. You can also inquire about a river front spot but if memory serves me I think those are weekly.

Park moabi doesn't do monthly spot rentals anymore as of last year. The owner of pirates cove bar is now managing the park and raised all the rates and changed a bunch of crap. It sucks it was a nice place to stay.

Perhaps it's possible that some debris went through the oil pump and got stuck in the bypass so it can't open.

Well i finished pulling the motor apart and the #4 rod bearing is the one that spun. The rod does not look bent or tweaked but it is discolored. Now my question is what is it going to take to get this motor back together? I would like to find someone that could possible help me build the motor and show me the proper way of doing it. Ive never done anything this major but i have been doing a lot of research and i really want to learn.

Trust me this isn't like the ones u have!  China bikes are a whole other shitty world.  This bike new was 2399$....I could use some billet battery trays,  perko switch, tow toys, a wider tandem trailer! Lol :screwy:

You'll take a perko switch in trade for the bike?

While you have it apart for rebuild, you may want to check to make sure you have the correct oil pressure sending unit to work with your gauge.  Normally I would expect a big failure to drop the gauge to zero instead of peg to 80.  I just rebuilt an engine for a guy who called saying before he started to oil prime with the drill it was at 80 psi, which is impossible since there would have been zero pressure at that point until the drill was turned.  The needle went to around 40 psi on the drill motor, but while he was talking to me on the phone he tested my logic by slowing the drill motor and watching the gauge CLIMB.  He had switched the engine from one boat to another prior to breaking it and bringing it to me, so the sender did not match the gauge, and also would have been giving false readings.

Its the original motor that came in the boat. So i don't think thats my issue. It is strange that the oil pressure went to 80psi. Last year i did notice on the gage  it was running higher then normal around 65 to low 70'spsi when i would get on the throttle hard. I don't know if maybe the gage is going out or if it was actually reading correctly or not!?

Well if it makes you feel better. Same thing happened to me Saturday. Just haven't pulled the motor apart yet. I know spun bearings when I hear them. Oh well gives me an excuse to upgrade. Good luck with your rebuild!

Dam that sucks sorry to hear. I got mine pulled apart and it was a crank bearing and it chewed up the crank pretty good.

Pull the motor last friday took the oil pan off and there lies metal shavings everywhere. There was also a 1" sliver stuck in the oil pump screen. I guess it's time to do a full rebuild on her and hopefully get another 25 plus years out of it.

Not sure whats going on with my motor. On thursday we launch and made it about 2 miles the oil pressure jumped up to 80psi and started knocking . I shut it off right away and got towed to shore and put it back on the trailer. I checked the oil before launching and it was full. I also checked it when i put it on the trailer and it was still reading full. Do you think i spun a bearing? Any input would be greatly appreciated thanks
