I purchase a Fresno Flatbottom in 1972. A couple of fellows named Marty Sharp and Dale Wagnon were the owners. Dale did most of the glass work and manufacturing, Marty ran the office and business end. They were just getting into the jet boat scene about the time when jets were becoming very popular. (I still liked the prop jobs)
Originally their shop was up on North Abby in Fresno but they moved to a new manufacturing shop on Shaw Ave in the mid 70's I believe.
I thought their boats were very well made. They were not what I'd call a "mass producer". They made them one at a time and Dale was very good glass man, attention to detail. Both were very honest businessemen which says something about the work they did.
I was sorry to hear that Marty died of heart attack some years later and I suppose this closed up their business. Dale Wagnon is still living in Fresno but I suspect he is long retired by now.
