Beautiful boat bro.

I am showing this to a buddy who is "shopping" right now.

I will make sure he has your digits.

GLWS.

Thanks GT. I have a new grand daughter and I need a boat with more room! Lots of stuff has to come along when little ones are on the boat.

They're JL Audio free air subs. They mount to the seat back. No through holes.

Very recent work (April 2016) on engine and pump by GS Marine (with receipts). Recent trailer overhaul by Solaris (with receipts). Recent carpet replacement and gel coat color sand by Martinez Interiors. My family is growing (grandbaby coming next month) and I need more room! Boat is currently in a storage unit in Needles CA at Palms River Resort.

I just spent Memorial weekend in Parker and boat runs great. $12.5K. Lots of receipts.

Topock / Pirate Cove area 9/18 - 9/19 Anyone planning on going tomorrow? I had a green light for a guys trip, but my so called friends are bailing out like crazy.

I'm still going though.

Awesome.

Buy some Stabil and dump it in before you put it away for the winter. Also remember to run the carburetors out of gas.

Have a great weekend.

GT

Thanks for the advice. Will start using Stabil at the end of the season.

How do I run the carb out of gas?

Replaced my non working Holley fuel pump with a new one of the same from O'Reilly in BHC and she fired right up. Thanks guys. This forum rocks!

8
Possible to add pics here?

9
No suction from the pump when cranking the engine. Auto zone says it's a hi perf pump. Checking O'Reilly in BHC.

10
Forgot to mention. BBC w a Berk. Mechanical girl pump.

11
Pulled off the air cleaner. Carb is dry inside. Twisted the throttle. No gas. Removed one of the feeds to the carb and cranked the engine over. No gas came out. And yes, there is gas in the tank according to the gauge. Suggestions?

Do you know the size of the speedo? They list three different sizes on their site.

I attached the eye let's to the battery   and use the plug cap  and hang it up out of the way with zip ties

I like this idea. Battery Tender website says I can charge both of my batteries with one trickle charger, I think I'll connect them with jumper cables while on the charge.

Wondering if anyone has permanently/semi permanently installed trickle charger(s) on their boat. What I was noodling was after a day/weekend on the water, after putting the boat away in your driveway or storage unit, you just plugged in to ac and called it good til next time.

I  started thinking about this after buying a Battery Tender Jr, which has alligator clips for quick connection, and also has a cable with eye connectors for a more permanent installation.

Would require some mounting of charging unit and a bit of wiring.

Happy New Year All!

I'm having trouble sourcing Sea Goin Poxy Putty in Orange County. Does anyone know where I can get it?

Does anyone have a suggestion as far as a GPS speedometer?

I removed the speedo and bench tested it (see picture of me hyperventilating). Needle barely moved, so I guess the speedo is not working. Has anyone had any luck cracking one of these open to see what makes it tick?

Speedometer died last summer. Pitot tube type. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot/diagnose the problem?

Thanks,

Jet Pumps / Re: Trying to remove impeller, need puller

So after thinking about it for a bit, I decided to try applying heat to see if that would help. It came off pretty easily with a few taps of my mallet.

Thanks for the responses guys.

Does anyone know if O'Reilly rents a puller that will remove the impeller from a Berk? I got the nut off easily enough. Or does anyone live around the corner from me who has one? wink wink?

Jet Pumps / Re: Forward Reverse Handle Came Off
« on: January 18, 2014, 01:39:46 PM »
I'd say remove the speaker and retrieve the bolt that backed out.  Shouldn't have gone far.

Thanks a bunch guys. That was it. The bolt was had backed out and was laying in there behind the speaker. The threads are a bit boogered inside the handle so I'm gonna have them looked at by my machinist buddy.

Can't wait for summer!

Happened last trip out this past summer. Handle came off in my hand. Can anyone tell me how to repair this? Looks like it's held in from behind.

Thanks, Leo
