If you look at this thread http://www.socaljetboats.com/index.php?topic=4790.0 in the second picture in the thread is a jet-o-vator set-up with a split bowl. Notice the extra arm, linkage and different steering tube. If you look at the Place Diverter it is a much siplified version by only using a single cable, no linkage and a shifter(seen here----> http://www.cpperformance.com/detail.aspx?ID=1971 ). The jet-o-vator also incorporates the steering into its linkage as the Place does not. Like stated above the jet-o-vator pivots at the bowl and the Place Diverter pivots at a seperate axis after the bowl. The Place Diverter is a modern version of a trimmable nozzle that can be manually or hydraulically operated.
