So I can't post pics using the iPhone app, but they moved the entire floating marina to the launch ramp closest to the dam in the bay on the south shore (pretty rad to watch em tug it past my camp)... They are dropping it a foot a day, until they get down to 6% capacity..

Got here today, staying on south shore near floating marina.. Feet sink 8 inches once you hit the water.. Pretty muddy about 30 feet from water.. Motorhomes are about 100 feet from water.. Not the worse we've seen in 30 years, but water is way way low..

After fooling around with the current set I noticed they were not seating completely due to the bolt holes are not even...... 2 out of the 7 bolts will
NOT seat..... I put extra washers in an attempt to make the bolts tighten but no bueno...... I even took a tap
And chased the holes on the heads to make sure they were clean.... And allowing  the bolts to go all the way in but NADA.....   It's not a lot..... but it aggravates me to no end......and it makes a mess of the engine compartment .....

We use the fel-pro blue stripe gaskets on all our dragster stuff because I lash the valves every other pass, they work bitchin and last 3 years or so.. Also, try studs if the bolts bottom out..

I have one it needs a starter solenoid, has a upgrade exhaust kerker pipe, mariner exhaust manifold, 16* pitch impeller new amg battery would like to get around $250 for it if interested I can take pics

I haven't purchased a boat yet, I wanted to get an idea of what I'll be spending before I jump into the jet game.. I'm thinking now that as soon as I hit the loud pedal and pull the diverter, I won't give a shit what she looks like.. haha Don't gotta be pretty to have some fun!!

My next question was how durable is a paint job, so thanks for answering it in advance. I can get it painted for a third the price of a gel coat job. Also, what about a wrap? I do vinyl decals and graphics, and I was thinking about just wrapping it, after glass repairs were made.

Hey guys, I'm new to SCJB but I have been in and around I/O boats literally since I was born. I'm thinking about getting a low budget jet boat now.. In my price range, I'm finding boats that don't have diverters and they look like they'll need a new gel coat. What kind of money am I looking to spend on a decent diverter (if I install myself) and what's the going rate for a gel coat job (plus/minus) hull repairs like cracks and stuff? Thanks guys, y'all seem very knowledgable so far don't let me down.
