From the sound of it it sound like u need to pull the cover off the pump and clean all the old silicon off and resilicon it

But u know what the sucky part is when they say you can put your boat on the water , they will put a other tag on the hook when u pull your boat off the water and you can only run it there if u cut it u will have to go through the whole thing
