Tape is pretty cheap and old newspapers are even cheaper.

I've got one on my Place Diverter and to tell you the truth, it really doesn't do much. You still need the gas peddle to steer. Also, if you get into shallow water they bend and break.
Looks like it runs pretty good too. Wish it was mine.

Glad to see it finally coming together, and that you're getting the bugs worked out. Have you started the engine yet? When you do, we better get a video of that thing!!!!!!!!

Maybe thats how you do it in Kentucky , but here i just move the engine forward 1/2" before cutting on the drive shaft
But i think the best solution is to buy another flexplate... But then i run into it hitting the motor plate , which i will have to cut
How much space should there be between the drive shaft and bearing housing on the pump ? When i used the flexplate i had about a 1/4" now i have to move the engine forward
Don't go moving engines and shit like that, you're making this more difficult than it needs to be. How much thicker is the flywheel than the flexplate was?

Looks very similar to the Tahitis http://www.socaljetboats.com/index.php?topic=462.0 , except for the angled gauges. I remember Old Rigger saying something about those angled gauges, but cant remember what he said. I want to say it had something to do with Hawaiian boats

If I remember correctly, they are 7/16-20, and you'll have to determine your own length. I wouldn't use stainless for the drive line. Stainless is softer than grade 8 bolts, and you don't want to risk shearing any of those bolts off, so just get some black oxide grade 8 bolts, and never have to worry about it again.

But you still need to get that damn thing out of that intake port ya damn quitter, lol!!!!! You did get it out of there, right? It snowed here yesterday and it only got up to 42* here today. She's getting put up for the winter, damn I hope it fires up next year!!!
