What are the chances of a non member finding a spot in the avi cove. Does it usually fill up? We would be coming from the riverside.

I have a hydraulic diverter on my barracuda jet. I haven't played with it much. Can you hurt anything by moving it to an extreme up or down position at high or low speeds. There's no indicator of its position. What if you hold the button too long, obviously not more than say 5 seconds. Any advice.

I did suck up some rocks by big bend in Laughlin. It destroyed the impeller. I bought a Berkley rebuild kit and installed the new impeller but not the wear ring because it fit so tight I didn't think the new one could be any better. Also it looked good and smooth with no scrapes. I just pressed on the new bearing and used the parts that would fit my barracuda jet. Is runs the same speed as before the rock damage. The bowl didn't have any visable damage. Is this slower than I should expect. Having more people in the boat makes very little difference.

Well I guess my ball valve is at least a good safety to have in case a rubber hose bursts.

It sounds like you guys, well never mind. I put in that valve and set the idle up to 1100. I haven't got any milk in the oil. I have a vacuum tester with a gauge on it, I should be able to rig up something. I'll find out in two weeks at lake Mojave. Thanks for the info.

I didn't think of making a note of that. But for sure #2 had a lot last time and was dry this time and just the opposite for # 7. I bought a brass ball valve to put before the tee to try and cut down the water some. Pulling the plugs involves removing the hatch and interior panels and when I'm cranking it I can't see the plug holes. Do you recommend a pressure relief, and is a dump line the same as the lines leading to the risers that dump into the exaust? Thanks for replying to my post by the way. I appreciate it.

My last 2 trips out I locked up my engine with water in several cylinders. 2000 ultra with stock, I think marine power 454. Barr exaust manifolds with 4in outlets exiting under the waterline with inside flappers. No restrictor on engine water but it all looks factory on a 2000 boat. Any sage advice?

Any suggestions about what starters are best. Some seem to have a snout for Bendix support, my bad one doesn't. Got water in exhaust, now starter screams and jams up on flex plate. Stock 454.Thanks.
