I think  after  reading all this  you will  keep the th350 and np-205.

Heres the kit P/N 50-3202) GM TH400 to NP205 with figure 8 bolt pattern adapter assembly. This kit replaces both 10 spline & 27 spline male input shafts.

Transfer Case:
GM NP205 (10 Spline)
GM NP205 (27 Spline)
Transmission:
GM TH400 (2wd)
 :o Price:  $627.21
The np-205 will have to be machined for the larger output bearing.
And  like  HD said thats  new drivelines and crossmember will also need to be moved. and mods to the  floor to clear the shifter.
 You  can read all the info here http://www.atlas-tc.com/pdf/50/50-3202.pdf

« on: December 03, 2009, 08:48:35 PM »
Go here if you have not all ready http://resolutioncenter.ebay.com/  and check the  received an item that does not match the seller's description.  Did you take any pictures of the  tunnel ram before you started repairing it. When  I buy an item  I take a picture right when  I pull it out of the box Or  I take a small video. With pictures and video  that stops the seller  from  saying  you did  the damage. Like   what  Ray  said  there are some good sellers and theres  some  very nasty  ones. I been burnt   before and  it sucks. Hope the info helps

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: 454 vs 502
« on: September 16, 2008, 04:57:21 PM »
Whats the diffrence in the cranks , both are 4" stroke right . How bout length , journal size , ect. ect.  :sly:

-beerjet-

IS  this the info you are looking  for?

 454 = 4.250" x 4.00"
502  = 4.466"  x 4.00"

ALL Chevy big blocks used...Mains-2.7488"-2.7495"---Rods-2.20"

The Gen.V and Gen.VI crankshafts for the 454 and 502 motors share a 4" stroke and a one -piece rear main oil seal, however, they are not balanced the same. The steel Gen.V 454 crank is PN-14096983, while the steel 502 crank is PN-10183723. Both are externally balanced. The Mark IV 454 and 502 "1053" steel cranks, for use with two-piece rear main seals, is PN-3963523. A forged "5140" Mark IV 454/502 4" stroke crank is found under PN-3963524. If you are looking for a 3.76" stroke forged crank to use in a '91 or later Gen.V or VI block with a one-piece rear main seal, you can use PN-10114186. This crank came in Gen.V/VI 427 tall deck truck blocks.

Keep in mind that the Gen.V/VI big block production motors made from '91 thru the present have non-adjustable valvetrains. If you want to convert them to adjustable valvetrains use the guideplates, pushrods, rocker arms, rocker arm studs, balls and nuts from a Mark IV setup. The Gen.V/VI valvetrains use a rocker arm bolt (instead of a stud) that has a 3/8" diameter thread going into the head. You will have to drill and tap the Gen.V/VI head to accept the Mark IV rocker arm stud. The Mark IV uses a 7/16" thread stud. The Gen.V/VI production rocker arm is different from the Mark IV and is not interchangeable with Mark IV rocker arms.

And Brad  I need to  get a Gland seal and  the tool  to remove it I read  you have the good ones in stock? Berk 12jc-a  pump. Would a Droop help?  The  boat has  a bow mounted  fuel  tank  and not the  two side tanks. Thanks  I am  learning !
