Projects / Engine cover actuator
« on: February 15, 2016, 04:09:38 PM »
Got a 99 Ultra Stealth. The cover motor is gone. No idea where it mounted to or lengt/type it had. Anyone able to offer info of how to mount, angle of attack, hydrolic or electric and so on? Ultra Boats service line is worthless for help... Guess they don't want my money!

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: tips on making Transom holes bigger
« on: October 28, 2015, 08:11:45 PM »
I would use a 3 inch and cut two holes in scrap ply. Mount those 3 inch slugs in another piece. Mount that whole assembly inside your transom so the slug is squarely in the 3 inch transom hole. That way you can come in with a 4 inch hole saw and use the existing drill bit hole as a guide.

GS Marine is in Norco. It's worth the trek out the 91 to have him look at it. (951) 272-6060

Jet Pumps / Droop snoot vs. Straight snoot
« on: October 25, 2015, 04:18:40 PM »
I have a 22' Ultra Stealth. 454 BBC w/ Dominator pump and place diverter. It's a pig in the hole and slow at wot, 45 mph. I've been told to chuck the top loader grate and the pump likely needs going through, (might some knocking at idle). I've read droop snoots are better suited for 20' or shorter hulls. Is this true? Would it be a waste on my boat? By the way, she porpuses when trying to cruise at just over planing speed.

Does anyone know anything about Rowdy hulls? Found an open bow jet for sale but don't know their reputation.
