Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Chevy Questions Adding 6AL what plugs.
« on: August 18, 2017, 02:07:19 PM »
Question for Chevy guys. I'm running AC Delco R44T plug, adding a 6AL box. Do I need to run hotter plug, or just change gap. Or both. Thanks in advance!

Motor: 468 BBC, flat dome pistons all forged and stainless motor. 11:1 compression.

Thought that too, replaced new intake and gaskets, thinking intake may have a crack. Only thing I can think of is vacuum off the carb to air filter. I should cap it instead of running it. That's pretty much last thing I can think of, besides maybe carb to small for motor now, or power valve to small. It's got me lost. Lol

Hey BBC guys. Got few questions. I'm getting a pop at about 3000 rpm. I have timing set to 14 int, 34 adv. 468 roller, stainless valves, springs, forged flat top pistons, crank, Rods. What plug should I be running. Motor is just broke in. Wondering if timing needs to be advanced more, or if I need hotter plug. Believe the plugs are 26. I'm running Plonix billet marine, and MSD blaster 2 coil, 750 Dave Lang built holly. Thanks in advance.

Nice, let me know how that works out if it fixes ur problem please... Good luck!!

It worked, I also bought the MSD blaster 2 coil. Set my gap on my plugs to .38. But runs perfect, holds RPM and doesn't shut off and jump around. And it got here from Amazon on Sunday. Took less then a day to get.
