FYI if anyone comes into the same situation the new place diverter parts WILL work on the older diverter just fine.

Your boat but I'd cut them .. let's be honest we're going for looks here and love the short headers.. be ready to wipe the transom down every time though

Yeah it's all looks. They hang out like a dick on a fish to me. I thought if I cut em flush with the transom it would look better. Make it look like the headers were made to fit. I wipe it down all the time anyhow lol.I seen some guys have em cut way before the transom. Wasn't going to do that

Ha, it seems to be my luck I get the projects with the hard to find parts. I emailed place, see if they know if I can salvage what I got

I have a brand new replica edelbrock Performer polished intake manifold for a big block Chevy. Already have one on the boat and have no use for this one and rather it be on another boat than in my garage.I'm out the Antelope valley area. Make me a offer. Need funds for a place diverter.

Just looking for other opinions on the look. My headers hang over past the transom about four inches. Should I cut them flush or leave em? Thought?

Thanks for the insight guys. I'll talk to the guys at place diverter.I'm a hands on kinda guy and like working on the boat and doing fabrication if need be. I'd love to buy a new one but, like a lot of us I'm on a budget. Don't need a giant roost but if I can get a working diverter for half the price with a little work, I'll do it. If you guys come across anyone with a12JE place diverter or parts please let me know!
Thanks

Is that lower arm below the bowl the steering?  I don't see what actually actuates the diverter trim.  Does the nozzle freely move up and down?

Yes, you can just add the hydraulics and the appropriate arms.

Call Place directly.  Cash will get you the best deal.

You can probably scare up and make enough stuff to make that work.

In all honesty,  you will be better off buying a kit specifically for the JE pump.

I would not know where to start with what you have going on.

GT

They sell all the brackets for the JE pump diverter in the event you break or lost the parts. Mine is a bit older so I wasn't sure if it would work, or if it's the wrong model. If I buy the 2 brackets and a hydraulic kit, it's $550. For a full new kit for a JE I'm looking at $1000 after shipping and tax. I was going to order the brackets first to mock it up and if it doesn't work, return em and lose $35. Just thought I'd put it out there and see if anyone new for sure before I buy parts.

Yes it moves freely up and down after I removed the black bracket. If you at the last pic I have the bracket off and a jack stand holding it up level

Jet Pumps / Need help with place diverter! Please
« on: December 15, 2016, 08:00:07 PM »
Try to make this easy. Bought my new jet boat a few months ago and the guy didn't know much. I have a Berkeley 12-JE pump with a diverter on it. I think it's a older place diverter without the ride plate. So the guy didnt have the diverter controls or something and made a bracket to keep it in a fixed position. Cpperformance thinks it may be a diverter for a JC or JG pump and may bind with new brackets.I ran the boat and it steers fine and doesn't bind. My question is can I buy the upper and lower control arms and add a hydraulic pump without it interfering? Is there any different between the nozzles other than the the control brackets? Basically if the diverter nozzle the same specs other than the bolt on upper and lower control brackets? I have pics of it. Any help is greatly appreciated. I just want to see if I can buy the 2 brackets and hydraulic setup instead of buying a whole new setup. Thanks guys

Make a realistic offer,  it belongs to a buddy....

Will that work on a 12J-E?
