naw...I didn't get it.

Something about it just didn't seem right.

1.  He was a little too anxious to sell it.
2.  He told me about a guy who was coming over to get it.
3.  It's been sitting (according to him) for over two years without transferring the title or registration.
4.  I got spooked on the deal.

Like I said...something just didn't seem right.

Yeah...I just called the DMV.  It's $56.00 for the boat and one more for the trailer to bring it into CA.  Actually...it's already here.   It's been here for two years...just sitting for the past two years.

So...I would have to pay a little money to register.

here is a picture of it.  He wants $700.00 for it.  What do you think?

DO IT...Right?

Hey all...Just wondering how expensive...if at all it would be to transfer a boat and trailer from out of state.  Right now it's registered in AZ.

It's a 1979 Taylor jet boat with BBC engine.  The guy wants next to nothing for it...

Is it worth my time or will transferring it be a pain in the a$$.

Thanks in advance

Random Boat Parts For Sale / FS - Edelbrock 1407 Carb with 2 hours use
« on: November 10, 2006, 11:34:18 PM »
I'm selling this carb that I had on my boat.  I rebuilt my Holley carb and put it back on.  This carb had only 2 hours total use on it.  As you can see by the pictures...it is Extremely clean inside and out.

I paid about 3 hundred for it.  Looking for $225.00

Let me know...

Gelcoat / Paint / Fireberglass Repair / Re: Car ran into back of boat...
« on: November 10, 2006, 10:44:19 PM »
Alright...Alright.

So it's not major damage.  But, looking at it from an owner standpoint...it's huge.  Unfortunately..it's going to take about 400 - 600 to fix it and match the paint.

Gelcoat / Paint / Fireberglass Repair / Car ran into back of boat...
« on: November 10, 2006, 08:33:11 AM »
Alright...Might as well get this section started.

I parked my boat on the side of the street and unfortunately...some fool ran into the back of it.  It didn't do much damage but did take some of the paint and fiberglass off.

My question...  is there a way to fix myself (just patch it up) rather than take it to a shop and have my wallet drained?

I will post a pick of the small damage soon
