The No Wake Zone / Left drive and gas pedal?

Why do most jet boats have left drive and gas pedals? I'm really use to right drive and hand throttle after 28 years of driving boats with right drive.

Cibola is awesome, but has lots of nothing. Fuel is 20 minutes away on land or water (at Walters or palo verde). If the water is high you can launch in the dirt at hippie hole. If not there is a ramp across the bridge at oxbow camp. You own the land which is rare in the river. You can get an acre for 20k. About 50 k for a simple trailer. 165k will get you a 1600sqft modular home, fireplace, laundry room, giant enclosed metal building with another giant metal rv port (for sale now). It's about 2mi off the river so there are very few mosquitoes. Lots if offroading 2 minutes down the road. We really like it and there is tons of storage for lots of boats! We went to every spot from hidden shores to Blythe and liked it the best.

Hey guys, I'm Joe and live in Poway, but frequent cibola on the lower river south of Blythe at the hippie hole. We picked up a half acre with a garage and covered boat storage last year for cheap. Been fixing it up a lot. I cut and welded the poles on the boat storage to raise it up 5' so i can drive in with the wakeboard tower. I plan to enclose it and it should hold 2 boats. I have a Yamaha ar230 that I'm putting back together. It had low compression my second trip out! I got the heads back from there shop last week after being down for a year. I want to get a real jet boat and keep the Yamaha for family stuff. I need to learn more about the different pumps, brands of boats, what to look for in used boats, etc. I've been efi tuning fords and dcx as a side business since 2005 so i really want efi. Gm isn't much different tuning wise. I'd love obdii in a boat!
