Ok, here I go.....Jet Boating, long time admirer, first time buyer! I recently purchased a 1976 Waikiki Jet Boat equipped with a AMC 401 and I believe a Jacuzzi pump. The boat needs much TLC but I bought it for a nickle with newer trailer. Problem Im having is finding info/specs. on this boat. Apparently the manufacture was only in production for two years. Any help, post, pictures etc. would be greatly appreciated. What I have discovered doing what little research there is out there, is that the 401 motor is not a big block and that everyone wants to buy it. The boat needs a new carburetor but I am undecided what cfm I should place on this motor due to the unknown horse power rating.
