BTW, this is a fast jet boat. According to GPS we were running at 89 mph on Lake Elsinore when backed off the throttle! Probably had another 5 mph in her. VERY STRONG Engine.

1974 Howard 18’ jet boat

This started out as a bare hull. Hull was completely redone from the stringers up.
New Paint, all new wiring harness, all new control cables, all new gauges (including GPS speedo), all new stereo equipment.

Engine was converted to a Chevy 6.0 LS with LS 3 heads and a cam. Converted to a 750 cfm carb. New marine grade billet starter, new marine grade alternator, new exhaust manifolds with thru transom tips. Dual Optima marine batteries with new perko switch.

Fresh rebuilt Berkeley Pump with A/B cut and place diverter

New carpet, new upholstery, new custom stainless Bimini top

Moving out of state and need to sell $16,000 obo

Thanks for sending the old pic. I wanted to pay omage to the original with undated twists. Thats why we painted it with the original design. the new twist would be the LS6 motor, covered engine thru transom exhaust. Ill post more pics soon but it would be cool for you to see it complete again.

So fast forward all these years and I eneded up with this boat. It is almost complete. Interior being done (in gray and red) by Raul at A1 in Riverside.

A1 Foam in Santa Ana or JJ fabrics in Railto both carry rubber backed marine grade carpet.

J&J auto fabrics in Railto or A1 Foam in Santa Ana. Marine grade carpet many colors to choose from. Use Contact cement, glue both surfaces let dry before making contact.

I'm in the process of converting a 1977 Howard 18ft from a BBC to a 6.0 LS motor with a berkley jet. I will be using PCM exhaust manifolds and risers and going thru the transom. I am a little confussed on running the water (plumbing) lines. Does anyone have a diagram, pictures or name of anyone that could help sort it out?
