Mine is considerably different.
Maybe a different model, I don't know.
Yours is more typical of a bubble deck.

Probably a deeper V, too.
With ~500 hp, I gps'd it at 71.8

Only seen one other like mine, here on scjb, for sale a few years back.

Nice looking float, should be good for some hp.

To be honest, I just went by what is on the title (Glencoe)
But no idea if thats what it really is..

Its so bloody shallow its funny.  But it floats, it goes pretty dang well (78mph)
So frankly its all good in my book. 

I am going to do some inspections this weekend into the "rattle"
And then look into checking out the wear ring and other stuff. 

Lotta little details need to be fixed on this thing, but they can wait for our long winter.
Shes water worthy for now, and thats what matters.

For starters,

I am sorry that I am totally new to this "Jet" world, but I am learning every moment I got.  I work in the aftermarket performance world, however that is centered around drag racing, engines and tuning.  So all of this "Jet" stuff is totally new to me.   

Anyways, I have a boat that was actually featured on that Sunday morning TV show called "Engine Power" if any of you ever watch it.   I have a 540" BBC that made 688hp on the engine dyno.  The hull is a 74 Glencoe with a Jacuzzi WJ drive on it, and a hydraulic diverter.   

She runs pretty dang well, however, I have a few questions/concerns. 

1) At idle, there is a "rattle" or harmonic that comes from the drive area...is that normal?
2) Is this pump just a terrible idea for the power level this engine is at?
3) What would you all do if you had this thing? 

I have rode in some other boats making similar HP or 100hp more, and they flat out rip your face off and take off.  (BBC's with American Turbines).... mines alright and it is fun, but nowhere near that kinda performance.   So hence why I am reaching out to learn.
