get the rpms LOWER. i'm not to shure about your pump, which is'nt vary popular, & is more expensive for parts., but a berk starts overheating after 5500. berks are everywhere( parts & acc.) are cheeper than any other pump. also if you go berk & want your new motor to hook up, get at least an AA impeler. & shoot for a rpm of 5500. you'll fly. good luck!!!

that match book trick works good if your 16-18 years old & working on a vw. lets get into the now, f@!$ points. loose that problem. $100 bucks will get you into 1978 & eliminate future problems with over/under gapped points. it may seam simple but remember less adjusting less problems, & more hallin ass !!!!!! Trailers / Re: Trailer Light Wiring Question
« on: April 25, 2007, 01:11:48 AM »
this is probibly too late, but i strongly rec. the flat four. everone's using it, the round 7 is factory installed on new trucks but also with the flat four. the olden day round 5 & 6 are out dated! plus if you rent a moving trailer, or help a friend move there trailer it WILL have a flat 4. so change your vehicle's plug to the flat four, you be happy you did.  O0 nice lighting kit on ebay

those "little pigs" are keeping you safe, but also with a cost, what if some f'ed up a'hole was hallin ass on the water & crashed into your family? i am no way a cop/game warden but put yourself in there shoes. promote a safe enjoyable water way for everyone. i've been at the bridge w/ a cooler & watched the madness, butt ass naked chicks walking around, the good liquid being taken, & the good plant taken in front of the out numbered police without seeing anyone busted except for some dum ass
gangsters causing violent probems, the officers get my respect, you need to see things in there eyes, grow up & respect them.
now that was harsh, but there job is harsh, you boat because its fun? respect there boundries & maintain yourself & fun will become yours. i do'nt go out to get hasseled, so i avoid those situations, & those " pigs" DO PROTECT & SERVE, keeping us safe.
boat safe, party hard & remember, respect.

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: water cooling hoses. . .
« on: April 22, 2007, 01:38:06 AM »
hay maybe too late, but make sure your hoses at each stage are = length, or one side will run hoter. water is lazy, it will take the easiest rout/root. and the flush kit you install shoud have a ball valve in it & be able to allow water to go to the motor & the
jet pump. if only to engine the pump will overheat & have excessive wear on the impeller & wear ring when using flusher.
i am vary poor with computer skills, my hot wife will post pictures of this flush kit/system soon! you can buy it at the local hardwere store, it about 8 pieces around 30$ but will save you $$$$ in pump wear. & no pics of her, mine, all mine. boat safe, remember if a boater is in need , maybe one day it could be you!!!! help-each-other..... & party. >:D O0 ;D

I SHOULD HAVE READ YOUR CONCERN MORE CAREFULLY. MAYBE ITS A RETARDED CAM, PUT CYL # 1 THATS FACING THE MOTOR
WITH THE REAR OF THE BOAT FARTHEST FROM YOU, #1 CYL ON A FORD IS ON YOUR LEFT, ANY MOTOR THE CLOSEST TO THE FRONT VALVE COVER WILL CONTAIN CYL #1. TURN THE MOTOR OVER WITH CYL #1' S PLUG OUT, STICK A DAMP PAPER TOWL IN
CYL #1 & TURN THE MOTOR OVER & QUICKLY STOP TURNING OVER AS SOON AS THE DAMP TOWL POPS OUT THE HOLE. THEN WITH
THE CRANCK SHAFT TIMING MARKS SET BACK TO 0 DEG. THIS WILL BE TOP DEAD CENTER, THAT IS CYL #1 AT ITS COMPRESSION STROKE. REMEMBER THIS, THE FOUR STROKES OF A MOTOR ARE, SUCK, SQUEEZ, BANG, & BLOW. I KNOW I CANNOT SPELL BUTT. GOOD LUCK. E-MAIL ME W A CONTACT # IF YOU WANT TO TALK. REMEMBER THERE SHOES TODAY MAYBE OURS TOMARROW. HELP
EACH OTHER ON LAND OR WATER, ONE DAY IT'LL COME BACK TO YOU..... ;D ;D ;D ;D O0

IS THIS A NEW MOTOR OR BOAT TO YOU? IF SO IT MAY BE THE CAM IS TO FAR ADVANCED. THIS WOULD CAUSE THIS CONCERN.
EVEN WITH RETARDED TIMING AT THE DIST. AN OVER ADVANCED CAM CANNOT BE COMPENSATED FOR AT THE DIST. A STOCK
FORD 460 SHOULD RUN GOOD AT AROUND 10 BEFOR TOP DEAD CENTER AT THE DIST . IF THE MOTOR OR BOAT IS NEW TO YOU, I'D HAVE THE CAM TIMED, THAT IS IF YOUR SHURE YOUR DIST. TIMING IS CORRECT. CAM TIMING REQUIRES THE HEAD TO BE REMOVED ASWELL AS THE TIMING COVER !!!! SO DO THIS LAST. MOTOR DIAG. IS HARD TO DO WIHOUT BEING THERE SO USE THIS
ADVICE ACCODINGLY. ALOS I'M A FORD CERT TECK ASE MASTER TECK E-MAIL ME TO TALK IF YOU WANT. & TALK IS CHEEP/FREE
I'D LIKE TO HELP JUST TO SEE YOU ROOST AROUND THE WATER. REMEMBER THE GUY IN NEED TODAY COULD BE THE GUY TO YOU HELP TOMARROW!!!!!!!!!!!!! STICK TOGETHER ON THE WATER & THE LAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  ROOSTER562 GOOD LUCK
