get the rpms LOWER. i'm not to shure about your pump, which is'nt vary popular, & is more expensive for parts., but a berk starts overheating after 5500. berks are everywhere( parts & acc.) are cheeper than any other pump. also if you go berk & want your new motor to hook up, get at least an AA impeler. & shoot for a rpm of 5500. you'll fly. good luck!!!

that match book trick works good if your 16-18 years old & working on a vw. lets get into the now, f@!$ points. loose that problem. $100 bucks will get you into 1978 & eliminate future problems with over/under gapped points. it may seam simple but remember less adjusting less problems, & more hallin ass !!!!!!
