WTB / Looking for used but good condition zoomies 4 BBC

Hey guys,
I'm looking for a used set of zoomies for my BBC. I was wondering if they would make a difference. Dont want to buy a new set if not. I cant seam to locate a set just to try so Im looking to purchase a used but good condition pair.

Does anyone Know where I can find a drive-line cover about 13" long. the standard one that CP and REX-MAR sells is 6" that's just not going to work. Do I have to buy two and weld them together? Do I find one for a V-drive and cut it down? Any and all help is appreciated.

First of all let me say thank you to everyone for all the help on this one. Sounds like I'm going to have to bite the bullet and buy a droop, dont know what it will do but what Ive got from this is "dont know unless you try".

To answer your question the boat is 18' ( 17'9")

Right now Im running 2 wedges, a 9" straight snoot, hyd diverter, 3 deg on the ride plate, and my pump pushed out the back. Im not too  concerned with the roost. I was wondering what (if any) the difference was between a straight snoot and a droop besides lift, If anyone has tried both, and what the outcome was.

Thanks for the link good reading.

Seams to me (from what I read) droops are only good for bow lift. Wouldn't you get the same effect with a diverter?

I have a straight snoot on my 18" syndicate from HTP. I was wondering if this is the best one for my boat. I dont see many others using this type. I was told that because my boat is pretty light and short (17'9") that I dont need the lift from a droop. Is this true? I was also told that by not bending the water through a droop that Ill get more thrust from a straight snoot. I cant help but think that using a straight snoot the jet stream isnt all the way in the water opposed to where it would be with a droop. Has anyone experimented with both types of snoots?

Ya, with the pump moved back and a jet-a-way I ended up moving the motor back 2 1/2" for stock specs. I also had the back of the crank milled flush with the flex plate so I wouldn't have the thickness of a PTO.

Its got a slight curve to the bottom. I would have to say no to the delta pad but unsure. Is it still considered a delta pad if it slightly rounded?

I set my pump back 5 1/2 inches to where the hand hole is completly out of the transom. The boat is a 18' Syndicate.I did this with intentions of running a pop off and a jet-a-way. You may run into motor clearance to the back of the boat if your not running a ratchet device or drive line. I also had clearance problems with the headers,my boat is really narrow in the back. As for the handling it definitely made it a little more squirrely. Ive seen people fill the hand hole with resin if your looking for an inexpenive way to take care of the problem.

Hello. Im contemplating buying a southwind tunnel dragster project boat. Its a bare hull no rigging what-so-ever. Fiberglass hull on a tandem trailer. Does any one know what a fair price for this would be? The seller wants $3500. Seems a bit high. The seller is absolutely firm on his price.
