Hey guys I'm having a problem with my charging system as well. The alternator checks out good off the boat but it will not keep the boat running when you pull a battery cable, it immediatly shuts down. I have an AMC 360 with I beleive the 3 wire Alternator. Will one of these diagrams work for that application? I'm planning on tracing each wire back and testing the voltage on each. I did notice that the Gas tank switch is not working along with the gas gauge and engine temp. Will these gauges not being in working order make it so that the alternator wont charge the battery. Would this be an incomplete circut. Sorry I'm new to boats and could use a little better understanding of the electrical system.
